This week on @DoAsWeSayPod, we’re bringing you two messy Reddit stories that might just have more in common than you might think.

First, @DrLizPowell, @DrNerdLove, and Evita Sawyers, look at a poster in r/TrueOffMyChest. A son realizes his parents are in an open relationship, that might actually just be cheating.

Then they read from r/Relationships where a man spends years waiting for his lesbian best friend to magically decide she likes him back.

And look, everybody wants love. We all want connection. That’s not the issue.

The issue comes when our feelings take precedence over respecting other people and viewing them as human beings and not goals or obstacles to overcome in pursuit of what you want.

Sometimes, the start to healthier relationships means asking yourself: Are you making it easier or harder to build the kind of connection you actually want? 🤔
