We might think that our future partner needs to have a certain job or make a certain amount of money. They should look a certain way, share our hobbies, and check off a dozen other boxes.
But then we meet someone who checks none of the boxes, and we’re smitten!
That can be part of the problem with modern dating apps.
When everything is built around making an instant yes-or-no decision about someone, we lose some of the serendipity of meeting and connecting with people we would have never chosen for ourselves.
