Welcome to Do As We Say, Not As They Did!

Your Partner Should Help You Succeed

We should be in relationships because they feel good for everyone involved. They make us want to be better. We get to support each other.

So if your partner is doing everything in their power to keep you from succeeding, is that really a relationship you want to be in?

On this week’s episode of @DoAsWeSayPod, @DrNerdLove and @DrLizPowell read one of the most aggravating Reddit stories yet: a woman asks her boyfriend for help, but he always refuses. When she finds another solution, he gets mad at her.

And because it’s Reddity, you already know she says, “Our relationship is mostly wonderful, except for this one thing he does all the time.”

To us, that just reads as 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

While we don’t believe that your partner needs to solve every problem for you, they really shouldn’t be another problem you have to solve.

So how can you tell the difference between a relationship problem you can work through and a pattern that should maybe have you reconsidering the relationship altogether?

We get into it.
